Project Summary: Diversified Metal Engineering (DME) is a stainless steel manufacturing facility based in Prince Edward Island. The company manufactures various specialty stainless steel products, mostly brewery and vegetable processing equipment. In the period 1991-1997 their staff increased from 9 to 95 employees.

DME have undertaken two major plant expansions, a 10,000 ft2 addition in 1995 and an additional 5,000 ft2 in 1996. Richardson Associated (1993) Limited has provided DME with the electrical design services for these expansions which included high concentration of electric welders, fabricating machinery, overhead cranes and ventilation systems.
